NewWrite Footnotes

Automated footnotes are not supported in NewWrite but can be really important for writing-intensive tasks. A work around involves the use of the merge feature. You create the basic text in NewWrite and the footnotes in NewCalc and link both at print time with the Mail Merge feature.

Another approach is to create the footnotes in a separate graphics text region on each page, and set wrap type for the region. This way, the main text on the page will skip over the area reserved for the footnotes. When using this method, you'll have to double check that all your footnotes are located on the appropriate page before you print or finalize your document.
